| Your rechargeable tea light system utilizes inductive charging, much like your Sonicare™ toothbrush. Up to 3 recharging bases can be connected together on one outlet. Simply stack the bases on top of eachother and connect by pressing the male and female side of the bases together. Plug the appropriate end of the 12V adapter into the top of the base and plug the other end into your wall outlet. When the chargers are properly connected the red light on each charger will be lit. The red light will remain lit while the charging base is plugged into the wall outlet. Charge your tea lights for 8 hours and they’ll provide you with 15 hours of peaceful glow.
About Inductive charging: Inductive charging charges electrical batteries using electromagnetic induction. A charging station sends energy through inductive coupling to an electrical device, which stores the energy in the batteries. The major advantage of the inductive approach over conductive charging is that there is no possibility of electrocution as there are no exposed conductors. Induction chargers typically use an induction coil to create an alternating electromagnetic field from within a charging base station, and a second induction coil in the portable device takes power from the electromagnetic field and converts it back into electrical current to charge the battery. The two induction coils in close proximity combine to form an electrical transformer.
